# GTA Cover Maker > GTA Cover Maker (https://gtacovermaker.com) is a free online tool for recreating Grand Theft Auto box art with your own photos. Pick a game, drop a photo into each panel of that game's cover grid, drag to position and scroll to zoom, then download the finished cover. It runs entirely in the browser: photos never leave the device, there is no sign up, no login and no watermark on the result. It is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Key facts, each checkable on the pages listed further down: - Cost: free. No account, no login, no watermark, nothing to install, and no paid tier to upgrade to. - Privacy: fully client side. Images are never uploaded. Every crop, zoom and composite happens in the browser's own canvas, which is why the tool works with the network off after the page has loaded. - Output: PNG, JPEG or WebP at 1666 by 1920 pixels for every game, large enough for a phone wallpaper, a social post or a small print. - Platform: any modern browser, desktop or mobile. Touch drag and pinch zoom are supported. - Games live now: GTA VI, GTA V, GTA IV, GTA San Andreas and GTA Vice City. Nine panels each, five separate editors. - The grids are traced polygons, not a rectangular template with a skin on it. Each game's panel angles, gutter widths and outer margin were measured off that game's own box art. How the five grids differ, since that is the part a generic collage tool cannot reproduce: - GTA VI: nine panels, one of them six sided and covering more than a quarter of the cover. 14 px gutters inside a 22 px border, both mixed at #180024, a deep aubergine rather than black. - GTA V: nine panels, eight of them plain quads pulled off axis by up to about eight degrees. The gutters are not a stroke, they are the gaps left between the traced outlines, 20 to 30 base px wide and deliberately uneven because the printed ones are. - GTA IV: the strictest of the five. All nine panels are four cornered, every vertical edge is exactly vertical, the horizontals tilt by as much as 7 degrees, and the gutters run 8 to 19 px and are mostly 12, the tightest here. The tall centre column is the only panel in any of these grids with four true right angles. - GTA San Andreas: nine tilted panels that share their edges rather than sitting in gaps, including an eleven cornered tram tile through the middle. 13 px gutters inside a 28 px margin. - GTA Vice City: the only GTA cover built on real diagonals. Nine panels behind a 34 px deco border. The printed cover shows ten, with the pink hotel and the Lamborghini merged to land on nine. How to make a GTA cover: 1. Open the cover maker for the game you want, for example https://gtacovermaker.com/games/gta-vi/ for GTA VI. 2. Click a panel to pick a photo, or drag an image file straight onto it. Repeat for all nine panels. 3. Click a panel to select it, then drag inside it to move the photo and scroll or use the zoom slider to scale it. The wheel over the canvas zooms the selected panel instead of scrolling the page. 4. Use the "Original logo" checkbox to keep or remove that game's wordmark, then set the inner and outer frame colours. 5. Choose PNG, JPEG or WebP and press Download. The file saves through the browser's normal download path. Answers to the questions people actually ask: - Is it free? Yes, with no watermark, no sign up and no paid tier. - Are photos uploaded anywhere? No. Everything happens locally in the browser. - What resolution is the export? 1666 by 1920 pixels, for every game. - How many panels are there? Nine, for all five games. - Can the frame be changed? The inner line and outer border colours are editable. The thicknesses are fixed to each game's measured values so the cover keeps the proportions of the printed box art. On GTA V and GTA IV that value is zero, because those two grids get their gutters from the gaps between panels rather than from a painted stroke, so on those two the Inner colour repaints every gutter and the margin at once and the Outer control has nothing to draw. - Can the wordmark be removed? Yes. It is on by default and the "Original logo" checkbox turns it off before export. - Is this official? No. It is a fan tool with no affiliation to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. ## Pages - [Home](https://gtacovermaker.com/): overview, the five games, features and FAQ. - [GTA 6 Cover Maker](https://gtacovermaker.com/games/gta-vi/): editor for GTA VI cover art, 9 panels, one of them six sided. - [GTA 5 Cover Maker](https://gtacovermaker.com/games/gta-v/): editor for GTA V cover art, 9 panels, gap based gutters of 20 to 30 px. - [GTA 4 Cover Maker](https://gtacovermaker.com/games/gta-iv/): editor for GTA IV cover art, 9 panels, the tightest gutters of the five. - [GTA San Andreas Cover Maker](https://gtacovermaker.com/games/gta-san-andreas/): editor for San Andreas cover art, 9 tilted panels sharing their edges. - [GTA Vice City Cover Maker](https://gtacovermaker.com/games/gta-vice-city/): editor for Vice City cover art, 9 panels on diagonal dividers. - [Blog](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/): guides, cover grid explainers and creative ideas. - [Privacy policy](https://gtacovermaker.com/privacy/): what is and is not collected, and why the photos never leave the device. ## Guides - [How to make your own GTA 6 cover art](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/how-to-make-gta-vi-cover-art/): step by step walkthrough. - [What is on the GTA 6 cover](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/gta-vi-cover-grid-layout-explained/): the nine panel grid, the six cornered hero tile and the aubergine frame, measured. - [10 creative GTA 6 cover ideas](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/creative-gta-6-cover-ideas/): themes and prompts to try with your own photos. - [What is on the GTA 5 cover](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/gta-v-cover-maker-guide/): the Los Santos collage, panel by panel. - [What is on the GTA 4 cover](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/gta-iv-cover-maker-guide/): Niko's centre column and the grid around it. - [What is on the San Andreas cover](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/gta-san-andreas-cover-maker-guide/): the tilted panels and the tram tile. - [What is on the Vice City cover](https://gtacovermaker.com/blog/gta-vice-city-cover-maker-guide/): the diagonals, and the ten panels that became nine. ## Optional - [Agent instructions](https://gtacovermaker.com/agents.md): how an AI agent should describe, cite and drive this site, including the claims about it that are wrong. - [Ko-fi](https://ko-fi.com/d4nwix): where to support the project.
