Nine tiles that share their edges
Loud on purpose
San Andreas covers a whole state, three cities and a decade of West Coast iconography, and the box art leaves none of it out. A police helicopter sits top left, a bandana and a street sign across the top strip, a BMX rider top right. Down the left, a blonde in profile above a stack of casino chips. A tram runs through the middle, a pair of eyes is cropped to a band on the right, CJ takes the bottom right and a drive by fills the bottom left.
The palette is sun faded rather than glossy, nearer a photograph left on a dashboard all summer than fresh print. It is the most character led cover in the series, so faces do more work than scenery.
One stroke, not nine gaps
San Andreas is built the opposite way to GTA V and IV. Its nine tiles cover the whole canvas and share their borders, so the 13 px lines are one stroke run along the seams instead of gaps between separate pieces. That is why the weight never varies: a gap based trace makes every line the difference between two separately traced edges, so it fattens and tapers where they disagree.
The tram panel is the extreme case: eleven corners wrapping three neighbours, the most complicated shape on this site. The long divider below the wordmark leans as it falls, sitting on x = 575 minus 0.061 times y, which drifts it about 25 px left by the bottom edge.
Picking photos for the GTA San Andreas grid
Give the tram panel a subject, not a scene
Eleven corners will cut a landscape into confetti. One clear subject with space around it survives the shape. A wide vista does not.
Skip the strong horizons
Every panel is tilted against the one next to it. A level sea or skyline advertises the tilt. Faces, cars and objects on plain backgrounds absorb it.
Faded beats punchy
The original is warm and slightly washed. Heavily contrasted, sharpened photos sit on top of this grid rather than in it.

GTA San Andreas cover maker questions
What is the odd shape in the middle of the San Andreas cover?
The tram panel. It has eleven corners and wraps three of its neighbours, which makes it the most complicated tile on this site. Give it one clear subject, not a wide scene.
Is the GTA San Andreas cover maker free?
Yes. It is free with no account, no sign up, no watermark and no paid tier.
Are my photos uploaded when I make a GTA San Andreas cover?
No. Every photo is drawn into a canvas in your own browser and never reaches a server.
What resolution does the GTA San Andreas cover maker export?
1666 by 1920 pixels, as PNG, JPEG or WebP. That is large enough for a phone wallpaper, a social post or a small print.
Can I remove the GTA San Andreas logo from my cover?
Yes. The controls panel has an Original GTA San Andreas logo checkbox, so you can turn the wordmark off before you export.
Can I change the thickness of the frame?
No, and that is deliberate. The inner line and outer border colours are editable, but the widths are fixed to the measurements of the real cover so your collage keeps the proportions of the printed box art.
Is this the official Rockstar GTA San Andreas cover maker?
No. It is an independent fan tool with no affiliation to Rockstar Games or Take-Two Interactive. Grand Theft Auto and GTA are trademarks of their respective owners.
